AnythingElse: This is a relatively new practise that I started attending as a) I live 5 minutes walk away and b) my old dentist was only interested in his Harley Street work. I find what is basically a converted house to be a pleasant environment to wait in for my appointment to come up and the staff are helpful and friendly. At first the receptionist...sorry, practise manager was a bit brusque but this seems to have been sorted out. The checkups aren't as thorough as at my old dentist who left my gums bleeding but as I have had no problems they seem to be perfectly adequate. When I first started visiting I had to have a large filling in an area that my previous dentist had always described as a "shadow" but even I, a mere mortal, could see on the X-ray it was a hole. I do notice that the dentist always suggests I make a separate visit to the Hygienist that I consider a bit OTT but as the subsequent booking seems to be voluntary I don't resent it too much and tend to go on the 3rd recommendation, not the 1st.
