Liked: The NHS dentist that used to work at the practice was brilliant but they were replaced by another dentist who I found very rude and unprofessional. Once I was running late for an appointment, as I worked a fair distance from the practice, I was caught up in traffic but still I phoned ahead advising I am running a few minutes late which the receptionist advised was fine. I arrived no more than 5 minutes late for my appointment. Normally on average we are kept waiting once we arrive in the practice an average 5-10 minutes as the dentist is running late. But on this occasion when the receptionist advised the dentist, even though they were still with the previous patient, refused to see me. I had to see the dentist therefore had to make another appointment. I was very dissatisfied as the dentist can be slightly late but the patients have no such right. On the next occasion I was told I need a couple of fillings. I thought they were carrying out the full filling but once they had completed they told me that they hadn't put a permanent filling in the teeth but a temporary filling compound as they found it difficult. I asked well are you going to change it at another date to a permanent, the dentist shrugged their shoulders and said not really itâs too difficult. So I asked how long would these fillings last, again shrugged shoulders and answered I donât know. I said any other solution, again shrugged shoulders. The dentist seemed like they cut corners and did not know what else to do. Not very professional and knowledgeable in my mind.
Improved: The dentist's leniency to see me even though i was slightly late. They are late to see us nearly every time. They could have asked advice off another dentist in the practice.
AnythingElse: I have not been back to the practice since. i have found an alternative.
